EthereumEthereum

Ethereum is related to Bitcoin in that it is an open-source, peer-to-peer network based on the blockchain digital ledger framework with an affiliated virtual currency known as Ether. Ethereum originated in 2014 and was conceptualised (and developed) by Vitalik Buterin. Ethereum’s goal is to create a World Wide Web is that is globally more available, more stable and predictable, and less restricted.

Succinctly stated, Ethereum is designed to function as a global network of computer servers. Because it has the capability to store diverse data types, it is a viable option to consider when setting up smart (or self-executing contracts). Succinctly stated, smart contracts are aimed at helping you transfer valuable items such as property, shares, or money in a transparent, conflict-free manner without a broker (or middleman).

Ether (the associated digital currency) is the primary driver of the Ethereum network. The Ethereum blockchain is unique in that it has the capacity to store different types of data, while the blockchain ledger that Bitcoin is based on can only save a list of financial transactions and balances.

The Ethereum price stayed below $15 during 2016 which ensured an exceptional and affordable entry point for investors who invested in the digital currency in 2016. Additionally, the Ethereum price started increasing in the summer of 2017, with a dramatic price jump at the beginning of 2018.

Ethereum ClassicEthereum Classic

Digital currencies are continually growing and forking (splitting). It's the inherent nature of the cryptocurrency industry.

The original Ethereum network underwent a significant split (fork) into Ethereum and Ethereum Classic. This fork transpired as the result of the aftereffect of a considerable hack which took place on 17 June 2016 where 1/3 of Ethereum's value (circa USD 50 million) was stolen. In order to plug the holes in the existing Ethereum network, it was necessary to force a hard fork (established on new rules). This action resulted in the two different digital currencies: Ethereum and Ethereum Classic.

It is important to note that the original Ethereum network (before the hard fork) is now called Ethereum Classic while the new fork is known as Ethereum.

Today, Ethereum Classic might be considered the less popular of the two currencies; however, it is as secure as Ethereum. In other words, Ethereum Classic can be elucidated as a low-profile digital currency for the investor. It’s moderately low price, and high volatility has unique advantages for the trader.

LitecoinLitecoin

Litecoin is a peer-to-peer-based digital currency (like most other cryptocurrencies), and it is developed on a related framework to Bitcoin. However, the principal difference between the two is that the Litecoin framework allows for a significantly higher number of blockchain blocks to be generated more frequently than Bitcoin without needing to improve (or fork) the structure it's built upon.

As a result, not only are transactions confirmed quicker, brokers will receive more transaction confirmations at the same time when they sell high-ticket items.

Lastly, Litecoin has remarkable and noteworthy security and technological improvements like Segregated Witness (SegWit - an improved security framework) and the Lightning Network (the ability to handle transactions quickly and cost-effectively).

Litecoin's price movement history is fascinating. It was first issued in October 2011, and it experienced a sudden massive leap in price in November 2013. The currency reached its top level with a 100% increase within 24 hours. Then in the last part of 2017, the Litecoin price rose by circa 400% (another incredible leap). These high increases in the Litecoin price are what provides its potential to be a high winner; however, the potential for high trading rewards adds substantial risk, albeit a worthwhile risk for Litecoin traders.

ZCashZCash

ZCash (derived from the term "Zerocoin") is one of the relativistic newcomers to the cryptocurrency sector. The Zerocoin protocol was first written in 2013. It was initially intended as a privacy-layer on top of the Bitcoin framework. It later evolved into the standalone Zerocash framework. Finally, the ZCash digital currency was added to the Zerocash protocol in 2016.

Essentially, ZCash is a decentralised, open-source virtual currency whose fundamentals include draconian privacy and security protocols. Moreover, it is a "zero-knowledge" digital currency. Ergo, it includes a zero-knowledge set of rules.

Simply stated, bilateral zero-knowledge rules demand interaction between both the respective transacting parties (or computer systems) demonstrating both their knowledge (and the validation of this knowledge) without giving away the data that authenticates (and validates) this knowledge. Therefore, the Zerocash protocol preserves the identity of both parties (the sender and receiver) and the transaction amount. Finally, there is also no record kept of these transactions.

The Zerocash protocol with its strong emphasis on privacy and security ensures that ZCash remains a popular digital currency with traders. Unfortunately, there also seem to be claims of security vulnerabilities (which should be noted).

The price of ZCash has been relatively firm and therefore remains moderately-high with good potential.

Trading Hours: 24/7

RippleRipple

Ripple is one of the world's most significant digital currencies. It is a real-time currency exchange and payment network that is constructed on top of an open-source, decentralised Internet protocol. Ripple was issued in 2012. Furthermore, Ripple underpins secure, direct and virtually-free global financial transactions of all sizes without any chargebacks.

Ripple was the first digital currency to be accepted by the banking industry. This is because the Ripple framework uses a somewhat complex transaction-verification technology. 2014 is a watershed moment for Ripple; the first online bank started receiving Ripple transactions in early 2014. Finally, Ripple is still the favoured virtual currency that accepted by banks and big financial organisations.

Ripple has yet to be noticed by cryptocurrency traders. It should be noted that Ripple has definite potential. Therefore, investors should keep an eye on Ripple.

Trading Hours: 24/7

MoneroMonero

Monero is an open-source, decentralised digital currency that has a core focus on privacy. It was developed in April 2014 to enhance the availability, privacy, and rate of existing digital currencies.

Even though the Monero transaction details are kept completely private, the cryptocurrency framework utilises a public ledger as transaction logs. In other words, all the information concerning the trade: sender, recipient, and amount are hidden during the transaction transmission and transaction history. Moreover, the transactions are not traceable because the Monero coins are completely fungible.

Even though these privacy issues are not relevant to the investor, it is pertinent to note that the Monero cryptocurrency is affordable, and there is lots of potential for Monero to increase its value.

Trading Hours: 24/7

DASHDASH

The DASH digital currency was originally issued as XCoin in 2014. Nevertheless, it was later renamed to DASH, a combination based on the words "digital" and "cash".

DASH is built on a peer-to-peer open-source framework whose core focus is on the payments industry. It is based on the Bitcoin protocol, and its primary focus is usability, user-friendliness, and scalability.

Additionally, an additional layer of network servers affords extra security and privacy. Unlike other cryptocurrencies, DASH is run by a corporation which includes an extensive team of software developers and volunteers who improve and maintain DASH's framework.

When the coin was initially released, a systemic error caused circa two million coins to be mined in the first couple of days. Consequently, the initial trading value was low. Once this issue was solved, the currency price stabilised.

DASH is a high-value cryptocurrency. Therefore, to ensure the best possibility of a trading profit, it is imperative for investors to follow the price movements closely before investing.

Trading Hours: 24/7

Bitcoin CashBitcoin Cash

Bitcoin Cash is a descendant of the first Bitcoin digital currency. Even though the names can be confusing, it is important to remember that Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash are not the same currency. The Bitcoin Cash framework split from the Bitcoin protocol during a “hard fork”.

As an aside, a hard fork occurs when there is a change in the set of rules that a particular cryptocurrency is founded upon. In this case, the Bitcoin Cash fork happened in August 2017 due to concerns about Bitcoin's scalability issues.

Even though both Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash are autonomous digital currencies, there are many similarities between the two. Bitcoin's scalability and speed shortcomings were solved by the Bitcoin Cash developer who increased the blockchain block size. Therefore, Bitcoin Cash transactions are now faster when compared to the standard Bitcoin transactions.

Bitcoin Cash's initial value was high during the currency's initial transactions. However, during its comparatively short lifespan, Bitcoin Cash's price has shown much movement, increasing its attractiveness to traders. Yet, Bitcoin Cash has not seen the same staggering price increases as Bitcoin and some of the other cryptocurrencies.

Trading Hours: 24/7

BitcoinBitcoin

Bitcoin is the most well-known of all the digital currencies. It was the first peer-to-peer cryptocurrency built on the blockchain ledger framework. Furthermore, the design is open-source and is open to public scrutiny. An unknown person or group initially developed the Bitcoin protocol under the name of Satoshi Nakamoto in 2009.

Bitcoin, along with other popular cryptocurrencies, is generated by mining the digital currency. In other words, a series of complicated mathematical equations (hash algorithms) need to be solved by the Bitcoin mining software for a coin to be created. Every time a Bitcoin miner solves a hash algorithm, one coin is generated. Because of the limited number of solvable hash algorithms, it has become increasingly challenging to solve these algorithms. Therefore, incredible processing power in the form of Graphics Processing Units (GPUs) is required to solve these algorithms to generate Bitcoins.

The Bitcoin cryptocurrency has turned people into millionaires. This one of the reasons why it commands astronomical price levels. None of the other cryptocurrencies has ever come close to Bitcoin's price levels. These exorbitant price levels make Bitcoin ideal for investors who intend to invest on a large scale.

After a hiatus of circa 17 years, Datsun was relaunched in 2013 as a low-cost, emerging-market motor car. Currently, not only does Nissan produce "middle-of-the-road" vehicles, it also makes a series of luxury models that are branded as part of the Infinity range.
In 1999, Nissan entered into a two-way partnership with Renault S.A. of France. Consequently, as of 2008, Renault S.A owns 43.4% of Nissan while Nissan holds 15% of Renault. Nissan, Honda and Toyota are the largest Asian motor vehicle corporations in the USA that have been infringing on the historically-dominant US-based "Big Three” vehicle manufacturers: GM, Ford and Chrysler.
Nissan is ranked as the third-largest automaker on its home territory, led by Honda, and Toyota. It is fascinating to observe that Nissan and Honda's sales figures are comparable with Honda creeping ahead while Toyota's sales figures are miles ahead.

SILVERSILVER

Electrum was a gold-silver alloy produced and minted into silver coins by the Lydian people circa 700 BCE. After this initial version of silver coin, pure silver was refined and stamped into coins. Many countries used silver as their basic unit of money. The United Kingdom monetary unit, The Pound, indicates that it originally signified the value of one Troy Pound of sterling silver. Later (in the 1800s), many countries, including the United States and Great Britain changed from silver to the Gold Standard of evaluating money. Lastly, 20th-century currency is no longer based on the Gold Standard. It is now as fiat currency.
Silver is also seen as a natural inflation hedge. And in recent history (and currently) the silver price is comparable to the world growth figure. Silver bullion's ISO currency code is XAG.

OIL (LIGHT SWEET CRUDE)OIL (LIGHT SWEET CRUDE)

Sweet crude oil is a variant of crude oil. Sweet crude oil contains very small quantities of hydrogen sulphide and carbon dioxide. It is thought to be “sweet” if it includes less than 0.5% sulphur, as opposed to the higher sulphur percentages in sour crude oil. High grade, low sulphur crude oil is ordinarily used to manufacture petroleum. “Light sweet crude oil” is actually the most sought-after crude oil alternative as it contains an extremely large amount of the primary ingredients that are used to manufacture gasoline (petroleum), high-quality diesel, and kerosene. Consequently, there is a huge demand for light sweet crude oil, especially in the industrialised countries.

The phrase “sweet” was invented because the low sulphur levels give the oil a slightly sweet taste and pleasant smell. Nineteenth-century oil explorers would taste and smell tiny amounts of the oil to decide whether the crude oil is sweet or sour.

Light Sweet Oil is the oil price benchmark, and it is traded on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. Also, Light Sweet Oil is regarded as a natural inflation hedge. And, in the last several years, the oil price has been associated with the world’s economic growth.

GOLDGOLD

Throughout history, gold coins have been extensively used as legal tender. The early paper money was typically seen as a voucher that was redeemable for gold coins or bullion. Before the 1930s Great Depression, the monetary system known as The Gold Standard was the dominant currency system. In The Gold Standard, a unit of currency was allocated a weight of gold. Therefore, the money could be exchanged for the equivalent gold allocation. For a long time, the value of the US dollar (USD) was set by the United States government as follows: one Troy Ounce = $20.67 ($664.56/kg).

However, the USD was revalued up to $35.00 per troy ounce ($1125.27/kg) in1934. By 1961, it was becoming difficult to support these price levels, and the USD price started dropping. Consequently, a group of European and American bankers decided to manipulate the market to stop further currency devaluation versus the increased demand for gold.

Because of unfavourable monetary conditions, the gold pool collapsed on March 17, 1968. As a result, a two-tiered pricing system was established whereby gold was still used to pay global accounts at the original $35.00 per troy ounce ($1.13/g). However, the private market gold price was allowed to swing. This two-tiered value system was finally discontinued in 1975, and the gold price was allowed to find its market levels.

Today, gold is viewed as a principal hedge against global inflation. Consequently, concurrently with crude and other metals prices, gold is deeply connected to global growth, especially in emerging markets.
